Even if he was trying to do the right thing, Kilik hurt a lot of us. He hurt Simca most of all, which is why I don't get too upset from the way she speaks to him. I know we were the ones who betrayed Kilik and chose wrong, and that he's spent all of these years being the bad guy when that wasn't the truth. It's awful to think about, especially since I miss him as a friend. But as much as I love Simca, she's not a gracious loser. This new person Kilik became, he took her brother from her. I know he wants to be back with her as much as she wants to be reunited with him, but. It isn't possible, the way they are now. Simca has a lot of venom to her, especially when she's been hurt so badly. I miss the old Kilik too, but I know she's suffering even more than the rest of us. Maybe, to me, that gives her a right to be cruel.
