Why Kazu?

For that matter, what drew you to Simca?

How do you feel about Ikki?

Iron Clock?

Uh I'll come back to this, I have more.

Simca always had Kilik back in the tower, so we really weren't close until after we had escaped and grown up a little. I owed Kilik an enormous debt for saving us. Maybe I took that more seriously than people like Sora and the others? I wanted to be around Kilik a lot, to show him I appreciated what he had done. That meant Simca was always there too. She was beautiful, so we were all drawn to her. I thought I loved her for a while, but that might have been the shoujo manga talking. When I got older, I knew, and Simca was an easy person to confide with. Simca always loved interacting with normal people, other AT riders. Kilik wouldn't (couldn't?) do something like that, so our friendship sufered.

When we betrayed him, I didn't think I would ever recover, physically and from losing my first friend. Maybe it was cruel, but it helped to be around Simca then because she had lost a brother. It was something I'd never have, something with feelings so much stronger and more intense than my own. I wanted to be around it.

We grew up. We interacted with the real people of this world. I think we both became very attached to them, in more ways that just through Crow-kun and his friends.

Ikki is someone extremely important to Simca. She sees the future of AT in him. I couldn't see it at first. To be fair, he doesn't look more different than the rest of AT riders. I might have an infatuation with the normal users, but I don't glorify each and every one. There are plenty who have no business on AT. Ah, I don't mean that in an elitist way. AT is dangerous, Kilik got that right. It could severely hurt a person if they weren't prepared for the strain AT causes. Crow is not one of those people. He has a way with an AT run I'm not used to see. It isnt something you could find in the tower, and I can't see it in anyone in the real world.

I care about Sano and I want to believe he will take care of Simca and Kazu when I'm gone. I want to believe those things. I couldn't have chosen him for the Flame Road. Maybe these things would be easier if I had. I don't like putting a kid like Kazu in danger and maybe Sano would have had a better shot being accepted by Sora. Probably not. He could defend himself more, though. Like she said, Sano was counting on being named my heir. Maybe I let him down. Maybe I'm not a very good friend. He is not perfect either. I want to believe in him, but I have to be realistic. I can care about Nue even if he supports Sora, I hope it will be the same way with Sano. I'm not a vengeful person, as long as the only person they're hurt is me.
