What an excellent question. Frankly I don't see any situation in my future that wouldn't allow me to obtain both these things, but for the sake of the game I'll answer. Power is conducive to glory. You simply can't earn glory without a display of supremcy first. It's fairly obvious to anyone who's fit to rule.

Thoughts on Zuko's friendship with the Avatar?

At some point it will be useful for me, but right now it's little more than an annoyance. Defending the Avatar from that man only got him injured. Eventually Zuko will realize how futile his little attempts to be a commoner are. Although, honestly, I'm getting impatient.

I have no intention of disposing of Zuko. He has a successful history of doing away with himself without any intervention on my part. If he ascends the throne it's only a matter of time before habit kicks in and he resumes being an utter disappointment. Zuko might be idealistic, but he can't lead a nation. Inevitably I'll gain control of a country desperate for the glory and power they're accustomed too. It's so much more satisfying that way, to earn something rather than claim it as a birthright. I already have the support of the land owning bureaucracy and the moderates. Zuko doesn't even have the support of own family.
